Database cannot bee added to distribution list

I have a database in the server that was previously in the distribution list.
Recently we just restored this database. But the database is greyed. I am unable to execute on the server.
So I tried to remove it from distribution list and try to add it back, but failed as the database is greyed.
The error when I try to execute the script was the login failed. But it can't be as other database on same server can be accessed.
Can anyone advise me on what I should check?
Edit: I figured it out. There is name changes in the database causing it can't be added.
