Compatibility Level - SQL2017

I recently migrated to AZURE and upgraded an instance to SQL2017. Unfortunately, my users are using Red Gate 11. I set the compatibility level for the database they access to SQL2014, but they are still unable to connect using Red Gate Data Compare 11. Is there a setting I need to configure in Red Gate to rectify this?

  • SQL Data Compare 11 was released to support SQL Server 2014, and SQL Server has unfortunately changed enough since then that it fails to register SQL Server 2017 databases.  I'd suggest upgrading to SQL Data Compare 13, which at least is significantly cheaper than buying a new copy.
