I am unable to use or add scripts folder as as data source or target, grayed out
Same when trying to create a scripts folder
I am not sure how to proceed

Are you on the latest version? Can you upgrade, make sure SQL Compare is activated and try again?

Have you visited our Help Center?
If you are already activated and on the latest version, it might be that you're activated with a SQL Compare Standard license which doesn't support those features. Can you please check if that's the case?
