Hi,
i have just done a upgrade to the latest version of SQL Monitor which failed due to the SQL Express database being full (ie over the size gap). I have a new full SQL Server and copied the database over to it. Is it possible to update the source of the database in the configs so i can complete the upgrade? going via the web page i just the option to try a different login

Russell D Posts: 1,324 Diamond 5It is definitely possible to change the location of the database: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm8/advanced-operations/moving-the-sql-monitor-database. You want the config file in C:\ProgramData\Red Gate\SQL Monitor.
If you've got a failed install though it may well have gotten part way through a schema upgrade and failed in which case you may need more specific help, but give that a go first. The schema upgrade is usually automatically recoverable.
