Analysing Poor Disk Response Times greater than 50ms

Hi,

One of my servers facing Disk slowness issue, while analysing through the SQL Monitor,we found that Avg. Disk Sec/Read is showing sudden spikes of above 50ms. 

My concern is slowness will cause due to Avg. Disk Sec/Read is spikes continuously showing from 50ms over certain time or spikes will reach 50ms often. Which makes issues?
