No UI preferences in Version 6 anymore

We have just upgraded our toolbelt and moved from Source Control version 5.7.2.6008 to 6.0.2.6908. Now the preferred settings for source system (we use svn) and development model (we mostly use shared) are not stored anymore. With a lot of unlinking and relinking in our workflows this is quite annoying.
We see that the configuration file RedGate_SQLSourceControl_CommonUI_UIOptions.xml previously had the elements
<PreferredSrcCSystem>1</PreferredSrcCSystem>
<PreferredDevelopmentModel>1</PreferredDevelopmentModel>
and "jacking in" them in the new version did not help but the elements are gone after closing SSMS.
Is there a way to keep the preferences in any way? If not, please accept our request for getting this back.

You are right. Those options are no longer available and currently, there is no way to persist them.
I recorded your request for getting this behavior back.
