Data Compare for Oracle - error registering database

I have downloaded a trial version (4.0.6.362) of Data Compare for Oracle. I specify the 2 databases on the Data Sources tab along with the schema name, then click the Tables & Views tab. The notification "Retrieving schema. Registering database one x%" is displayed. It gets to 27% after 4-5 minutes then displays "One or more errors occurred". The schemas selected have over 4000 tables. Is the tool unable to handle this many tables and an equally large amount of data? Is there a way to specify just 1 table name somewhere other than on the Tables & Views tab?

Hi, thank you for your forum post and sorry that you are experiencing a problem.

Sadly, there is no other configuration to specify other than the Tables & Views tab.

To obtain further information on what is occurring, would you please increase the minimum logging level to verbose, as per the instructions in this help document (Which will also inform how to locate the log files):
    https://documentation.red-gate.com/dco4/troubleshooting/logging-and-log-files

Repeat the steps you took previously and when the problem occurs, locate the current log file and attach a copy to an email for me to review? Please send the message to support@red-gate.com.

Also when the problem occurs, is their any dialogue to submit an error report? If yes, please click the link, provide your email address and submit the report. This action will send an automated style report direct to the Redgate Bug Tracking system. Hopefully using both the error report and log file, we will be able to locate the cause of this problem.

    Many Thanks
    Eddie
