SSIS Error Messages in SQL Monitor Alerts

We have SQL Monitor set up to alert us via email whenever a job fails, which is great. However, some of the jobs execute SSIS packages, and the only way to see the details of the SSIS error is to log into the server and view the execution reports on the SSISDB.

It would be nice if I could see the SSIS error which caused the job to fail right in the Red Gate SQL Monitor alert email. Is that possible?

Thanks!

  • It currently isn't possible I'm afraid, no. However we're going to take a look into it and see what scale of work is involved.

In the meantime I'd suggest you head over to the SQL Monitor Uservoice and post this there, we use this to help prioritise future feature work.
