RedGate.SQLDataCompare.UI.exe still running after closing SQL Data Compare

Whenever I run SQL Compare or SQL Data Compare, the process does not appear to end after closing the application.
I currently have 6 copies of RedGate.SQLDataCompare.UI.exe and 1 copy of RedGate.SQLCompare.UI.exe running in Task Manager (all with individual PIDs, using around 20% of a Core i7's CPU and over 1GB of RAM between them), even though neither application is open.
I would appreciate any advice to get rid of this issue.
