It looks like it's the infinity symbol- I think this may come up if you're looking at the results in the Percentage unit. it could mean that no instructions executed during a time period so that the percentage is 0/0, which may show up as Infinity or "NaN". This tends to happen if a period involves nothing but sleeping.
Can I just check though- what view are you seeing this in? And what timing options are you viewing in? (i.e. milliseconds, percentage, etc...)
