Major 7.1.4 Installation Bug (Can't set Base Monitor)

I run a configuration where the web server is on one host and the base monitor is on another host.
After installing SQLMonitorWeb_7.1.4.8611 on the web host, the initial access prompts to set the base monitor. But with 7.1.4 it gets into a weird loop where the web page keeps flashing and it does not allow me to type anything to set the base monitor connection.
As a work around, I had to manually edit the file C:\ProgramData\Red Gate\SQL Monitor\BaseLocation.config and set the Base Monitor configuration there. I then restarted the service and was able to proceed. But this is still a noteworthy bug that needs to be resolved.
