New project reporting changes immediately after initial import

I am evaluating the Oracle deployment tool. Followed the steps to set up a project against a sandbox DB the internal "testing" repository.
environment:
RHEL 7.2 server
Oracle 12.1
characterset: UTF8
Immediately after the initial import the tool reports 5 objects that have "changes", even though this is my sandbox DB and no on else is on it. Further, attempting to check in those changes does nothing - they stay there. 4 of them are for materialized views that I have set up against pre-built IOT tables - thinking it is not liking/understanding that. However, the last one is just a table - and the "differences" pane shows no discernable differences.
Is there something else that has to be done to get the thing to stop thinking there are chanegs when there in fact no changes?
