in SQL Prompt
I have two distinct machines having the exact same issue with SQL Prompt 8.
Machine 1:
Using SQL Prompt 8.0.5.1758 inside
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Management Studio version 12.0.2000.8
on Windows 8.1Enterprise (x64)
I only have access to the windows environment through Remote Desktop. If I am idle in the environment for more than a few minutes, when I return the SSMS windows are completely unresponsive. I have to task-manager kill SSMS and restart. I just uninstalled SQL Prompt 8 from the machine, and now the SSMS remains responsive no matter how long I am idle.
Machine 2:
Using SQL Prompt 8.0.0.1241 inside
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Management Studio version 12.0.2000.8
on Windows 10 Enterprise (x64)
This machine is running locally on my Mac using Parallels Desktop 12 Business Edition. I experience the same issue of whenever I leave SSMS idle for a few minutes, when I return it is unresponsive and I have to task-manager close SSMS and then relaunch. Obviously this makes using SSMS unbearable...almost as bad as using it without SQL prompt. )
