Multiple databases in project

Hello,
I'd like to understand if I can use DLM in our project?
What do I have:
  • Project with 2 linked servers
  • 2 main databases
  • SPs on both instances that are dependent on each other
  • master databases to manage instance scheduler tasks
  • one or two support databases to store secondary data (different for each server)
  • several environments

Regards,
Leonid Lee.

    Hi Leonid.

DLM Automation works with user DBs only, we would also recommend that the DBs are self contained as possible as any outside dependencies will need to be resolved across the various environments.

Also those external dependencies need to be consistent, so when you say
one or two support databases to store secondary data (different for each server)
this will only work if the DBs are the same across the various environments.

For more information please see our documentation page on DLM Automation: http://documentation.red-gate.com/display/DLMA2/DLM+Automation+2+documentation

    And the following Demos:
