SQL Compare: Unable to connect to Redgate Client Service

Installed the trial version and eventually bought a 5 user license for SQL Compare. These have been assigned to the users and have been working fine up until today. When opening SQL compare I get the below error.

Unable to connect to the Redgate Client Service. Please ensure that the service is started.

The service is running.

What could be the problem?

    A simple stop and start the service did the trick

    I had this issue and restarting the service worked for me.

    If you don't know how to do this:
    1) Hit your windows button and type in services (if you're not on windows, sorry)
    2) A list of services will pop up in a box; Look for Redgate Client
    3) Right click on Redgate Client and hit either start or stop (followed by start)
