    Hello,

Is this happening with SSMS or Visual Studio?

    Thanks for confirming that @Leader_SDC!

Can I please check--what version of SSMS are you using?

When non-admins run SSMS, is the SQL Prompt menu there but grayed out, or is the menu completely missing?

Ah it looks like SQL Prompt may not be activated - if the user goes to SQL Prompt 5>Serial Number and activates, does that enable the menu?

  • For normal user there is a restriction for activating the license and which gives access denied message. So installed using admin user. When run SSMS as administrator sql prompt works fine. Is there any way i can give permission for the normal user to sql prompt.

    Thanks for those details!

I can't guarantee this as it may be complicated, but if giving them admin access is not possible, you may be able to get past this by granting them access to the individual registry keys and folders they need to query--would that be possible to give a try?
