Does ANTS work with WPF?

billbbillb Posts: 7
Every time I attempt to profile a WPF application I receive an exception on startup (below). It looks like a parse error on the xaml itself (not sure why). The app starts up just fine when I removed ANTS from the picture. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 SP1, .NET 3.5 SP1 and ANTS 3.2.0.27.

Error: Unhandled Exception: Failed object initialization (ISupportInitialize.EndInit). There is an error in XML document (403, 3). Error at object 'SPA.Windows.MasterWindow' in markup file 'SPA;component/windows/masterwindow.xaml' Line 234 Position 3.

    Hi,

I don't think it's a question of ANTS Profiler being incompatible with WPF, it's just interfering with the IL code in a way that causes a problem in this particular circumstance. I'd say try version 4.x (you can install it side-by-side with 3.x) and see if that works better. The new version doesn't instrument code in the same way as 3 and it may work better for you.
