VDI Error 1010

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum, please excuse me if this is a real simple question.
I'm getting the following error message
VDI error 1010: Failed to get the configuration from the server because the timeout interval has elapsed. Check that the SQL Server instance is running, that you have the SQL Server System Administrator server role; and that no other processes are blocking the backup or restore process; or try increasing the value of the VDITimeout registry setting in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARERed GateSQL BackupBackupSettingsGlobal[InstanceName]
Can someone please tell me what should i look for?
Thanks

Thanks for posting on the Redgate forums.
The first thing to try is to increase the VDI timeout set in the registry on the machine HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARERed GateSQL BackupBackupSettingsGlobal[InstanceName] to be a number larger than 30 seconds to see if this resolves the issue.
You can also send in your SQL Backup log files from C:ProgramDataRed GateSQL BackupLog<INSTANCENAME> to support@red-gate.com to see if we can debug this further.

There was another process running and hogging up the box, After killing the process the issue got resolved.
