TF253022 error while linking database to TFS using Redgate

I am getting this error while linking my database to TFS using Redgate source control plugin for SQL Server Management Studio. I have installed Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider plugin and selected that in the tools option for source control on SSMS. I also installed Redgate SQL source control plugin.

Error:
TF253022: You must update your client with the Forward compatibility Update in order to connect to TFS that you selected.

When I search the web, it points me to install service pack 1 for visual studio, but here I am using SSMS, not visual studio.

Hi,

When using default settings SQL Source Control uses Team Explorer to connect to TFS: http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... patibility . So that error should indeed be cleared by updating Visual Studio/Team Explorer.

Assuming you are using version 4.1.13 or newer of SQL Source Control you can change the configuration and connect without Team Explorer, which should resolve your issue as well.
