What's new in this release?
A new server overview that gives you the important information about a server on a single scrollable page
You can now view query execution plans directly from the server overview page

For more information, please see the release notes

Upgrading to SQL Monitor 6.0
SQL Monitor 6.0 is a major upgrade from SQL Monitor 5. If your current license includes a valid support and upgrades package for SQL Monitor 5.x, the same license serial number will automatically activate SQL Monitor 6.0.

If your v5.x license does not include support and upgrades, SQL Monitor will upgrade to a 14-day trial of v6.0. You cannot roll back to the previous 5.x version, so we recommend that you install a trial version of v6.0 on a separate machine. For more information, see Upgrading to a later version of SQL Monitor.

To get the latest version do we simply go to the RedGate Home page and download the trial now? Then after install input our license/serial number so the product doesn't expire?

  • I subscribed to this topic, to be on top of updates. May I ask that when the next major version arrives, you do not simply abandon this thread, but maybe post one final message stating so. Thanks.

Better yet, keep the board and the announcements thread going forever, not starting a new one for each major release. And if you don't want to do that, maybe you could start a separate board with one announcements topic per product.

Just looking for something that I can set once and forget, and be notified about SQL Monitor releases ongoingly (if there is such a word).
