GetLatest not using migration scripts

Hello,
let's assume Amanda created a migration script for transition 8 to 9 in SQL Source Control which inserts some static data into a table. If Beth is on revision 7 and does a "get latest" in Management Studio, she won't get the data because only SQL (Data) Compare is using migration scripts (as far as I understand the documentation). Beth even won't get a warning that there is a migration script in a transition from her version to the latest version. So Beth has to known on which revision she is and has to have a look into the migrations tab to realize that she's missing some maybe important static data?
It's very convienient to just do a "get latest" in MMS without having to start SQL Compare, but it seems to be the wrong way... Or am I missing something? - I think at least getting a warning would be helpful.
Kind regards,
Ralph
