Generating Consistent Data Across Snapshots

First off, I am absolutely loving this product. My question that follows is based on the following EMPLOYEE table. Columns are EMPLOYEE_ID, FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME, FULL_NAME, EXTRACT_DATE.
The EXTRACT_DATE signifies a weekly snapshot of EMPLOYEE table. I can easily change the name information, but I would like the new changed name information to be consistent over multiple EXTRACT_DATEs. So, can this be done? If so, an example would be greatly appreciated.
