SQL Source Control 4 affecting VS TFS

This might sound a little vague, but I've noticed a difference between 2 systems, and one of the key factors is that SQL Source Control is installed on one and not the other.
Are there any known issues that can cause the Source Control Explorer in VS 2013 to run 'slow' when navigating the folders?
I have 2 PCs with the same version of VS2013, connecting to TFS, but the one where SQL Source Control 4 is installed, I frequently get the spinning blue circle.
Both PCs are on the same network.
Googling around I've found people talking about cleaning workspaces etc, and that made me notice that I have 4 randomly named workspaces on the machine (identified as SQL source Control) that is slow - but I don't know if this is a contributory cause.
Thanks,
Kev
