I have SQL Backup 7.7.0.18
I have followed the step here: https://documentation.red-gate.com/disp ... entication
Everything is step up correctly.
When doing a backups or restores from SQL Backup, I cannot access the backup folder, data folder (For restoring a new database, I cannot place new .mdf files), or Log (Same for restoring .ldf).
However, when I do all of these things from SQL Server Management Studio locally or otherwise, I have no problems doing any or all of these actions. I have full Administrative rights on the server and within SQL Server.
Any help with getting folder access through SQL Backup would be helpful.

  • Thanks for posting and sorry you are having this issue!

It sounds like this is a permissions issue specifically with the SQL Backup Agent service account used.
Here is the documentation describing the permissions necessary http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... ermissions

My colleague Sean is following up with you via email to resolve this.

Hope you have a great weekend!
