Vault cache has not been updated with the commit details

bkowaldbkowald Posts: 2
After every check in , I get a message that says "
Vault's cache hasn't been updated with the commit details". The files are still committed. What are the ramifications of this message? What can I do about it?

Also, periodically I get a message that permission is denied for the file RedGateDatabaseInfo.xml. What could cause this to happen? My only recourse to fix it is to unlink and relink the database.

I am on version 4.0.0.181. I backed up to this version because the latest one would not even make it to showing files on the "Get Latest" tab. I would simply say "Unable to update file xxx" from source control.

Thanks,
Brian

    Hi Brian,

    Thanks for your post.

It could be that the vault cache has corrupted itself.

    Can you follow below steps:

    1. Close down SSMS, then find the cache... usual location along the lines of: C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataLocalSourcegear
    2. There'll then be either Vault_x or VaultPro_x depending on edition, then a "Client" subfolder In there will be one or more GUID folders. These are the vault caches. Delete them all.
    3. Restart SSMS and SQL Source Control should work.

Let me know if this helps.
