Any idea if and when this will be included?

Unless I'm mistaken, CTP 2.4 isn't supported as a service target - I can connect with my Windows credentials on the box, but SQL Backup's server component installer balks with 'cannot locate the server - check it's online' (or words to that effect).

Thanks for your forum post.

The current release of SQL Backup (v7.7) should work with CTP 2.4.

Are you attempting to install across the network? Are you able to run the server component installer on the machine locally?

To do a local install navigate to the install directory of SQL Backup where the UI is installed and copy the file SQBServerSetup.exe onto the server running SQL. You can then run this on the server where needed. Let me know how you get on with this and whether you are still having issues

Yes, across network from a non-domain machine. Worked fine for first machine on the same target domain, hence the forum post.

Will try the server install locally.

That went OK, thanks. There was also a missing Login for the SQL Service, which was unexpected, but once added backups ran OK.
