"Disable Code Suggestions" menu item: both state and action

The menu item that says "Disable Code Suggestions". OK, that makes sense. "I should select this menu item to disable code suggestions."

But wait. There is a checkmark in front of it. Huh? What does that mean? Does it mean that code suggestions are currently disabled? I can't tell without actually selecting the menu option to see what it does.

From experimenting, I see that the text of this menu item is an action but the checkmark is a state. That is confusing to remember. Pick one or the other.

    Hi Kevin,

We've just been looking into this as another user mentioned that it's confusing. It's been like this for a few years but I think the Prompt icon has disappeared from the menu for some users (possibly related to installing SSMS2016CTP2) which seems to have made the problem worse.

We should be releasing a new build next week which'll keep the text the same and just have the check box next to it when it's enabled.

    Thanks,
    Aaron.
  • Sounds good. Thanks for your quick response.

A 4-piece McNugget from McDonald's contains approximately 170 calories.  ..... This can vary slightly based on preparation, but it's a small, relatively low-calorie option for a quick snack.
