Hi!

I'm using trial version ANTS performance profiler in console mode this way:

"C:Program FilesRed GateANTS Performance Profiler 9Profile.exe" /attach:2284 /timeout:5 /sampling /xml:c: empProfilerResults.xml /data:c: empProfilerResults.app9results /force

after execution an error has occurred:

Exception
=========

RedGate.Profiler.CommandLine.Exceptions.UnknownTargetTypeException:
Unknown target type in project.

xml created ok, output file is absent.

How can i fix that?

    Hi!

    I've tested this and the data option does unfortunately appear to be broken when attaching via command line. Since "attach" is an unofficial/unsupported command line option though, I'm afraid this may not be fixed immediately, but I will let you know if there are any updates! (the issue is logged as PP-3355)

  • This will be fixed in ANTS Performance Profiler 9.3, to be released later this week.
