SQL Source Control - Commit changes - Error

Hi,
We are already using SqlCompare and SqlDataCompare tools.
Currently we are trying to evaluate sql source control.
I tried to connect to a sharer database server from my local SSMS, and linked one of the database to source control for evaluation purposes.
I selected Just evaluating option for source control.
When I try to commit changes, it is failed at the very first step - "Updating metadata failed".
and give a error message saying: "You may need to ask your sysadmin for more permissions".
I tried to attach an image, but don't see an option.
Can you help in this regard.
Thanks,
