Hi,
We started to use Red Gate Oracle bundles in our database deployment process and developers are impressed by the source control feature. Recently, we tried to apply the same process to our MySQL deployment. I know the MySQL bundles does not have the source control, but if the MySQL compare can generate script folder like the oracle one does, we can still check in the folder manually. However, we found out today the MySQL compare does not have script folder feature after we installed the trial version. Is the feature in your roadmap in the near future? Developers started to ask if there is other products on the market provide similar feature...etc and it will be difficult to manage tools from different vendors to do the database deployment.
Thanks
Roger

Thanks you for your forum post.
At this time, there is not a development team working on Redgate MySQL Tools and looking to the future, there are no plans to resurrect a team before Q1 2016 at the earliest. I have made the Redgate Product Management Team aware of this forum post. If there is to be any future development on MySQL Compare, the ability to generate and compare to a scripts folder would be an excellent feature to add and to bring it in-line with SQL Compare and Schema Compare for Oracle applications. Also if there are any plans to extend our Continuous Integration / Database Lifecycle Management capabilities to the MySQL space, the ability to generate and compare to a scripts folder would be a definite requirement.
You may wish to create a new topic, comment and vote on the MySQL Tools User Voice forum available via this LINK. The more comments and votes the topic receives may reverse the current planning. There are only 8 topics in the MySQL User Voice Forum, the most popular topic with 20 votes is for Redgate to add a Source Control product for MySQL.
Many Thanks
