2 Databases Stuck "In Progress" - NOT a "VERIFY" issue

1 Transaction Log backup on a single DB and 1 FULL backup on a different DB are showing as "In Progress" and have been for about 3 weeks... ZERO Bytes for both.
There is NO Job defined for the database with the Transaction Log backup.
There were two processes running on the server that were the backups (determined via SSMS Activity Monitor) - as they didn't respond to "Kill Process", after a LONG wait I Stop-Started the instance (it's a Development box) and although the processes are dead, the UI still shows them being backed up...
If I close the GUI, nothing changes when I open it again. I've closed it since the kill-bounce-instance.
Version is the very latest 5.3 - did a "Check Updates" manually although the check is run every time the UI is opened and I opened it fresh several times today.
I deleted the Server. Re-added it with "Import NO Native Backup history" just in case...
How do I whack SQL Backup's faulty memory of the Jobs, please?

Thank you for your post into the forum.
It seems that there is a problem with the client cache, please try the following :
Close the SQL Backup GUI.
Navigate to :
%:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Backup\Server Data
Delete the contents.
Open the GUI.
The cache should now rebuilt and these In progress jobs should disappear.
Please let me know if this helps.

They're both still running...
Decide wisely...
Can you try restarting the SQL Backup Agent in Windows Services?
Thanks!
