Un able to connect sql 2005 frm local to remote

I am getting this error:

Cannot connect to Server.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

Please Provid proper soln.
Im MSSQL Studio i had enabled Remote connection with TCP/IP Both
What to do after this.

Thank you for your post into the forum.

At what point are you receiving this error message? When registering the remote SQL Server into the SQL Backup GUI? Or when attempting to perform a backup or restore job on the remote server?

If this problem occurs when first registering the remote server into the GUI. Can you successfully 'ping' the remote server?

If you can successfully 'ping' the server, can you register the server using the machine's IP address?

Does the logged-in account on the machine running the SQL Backup GUI, have permissions and rights on the remote SQL Server to connect?

    Many Thanks
