Changeset 1 "Microsoft Visual Source Safe is unsupported"

I'm getting this message when I try to register a working folder with my registered copy of SQL-Compare on a Windows Server 2003 R2. We have Visual Source Safe 2005 installed. It didn't do this on my workstation while I was using the non-registered copy of SQL-Compare (14-day trial).

HELP!??!

Please be assured that VSS *is* supported. The warning is being displayed incorrectly as the current check is too sensitive to the specific minor version of VSS. This check will be remedied in the next release. VSS and TFS are the two officially supported source control systems at this time, although many other SCCI-compliant systems will also work.

If you have any trouble with SQL Changeset, please let us know.

  • Oh, ok. I was able to just click past the warning and it seems to be working well with VisualSourceSafe 2005 on the server.

    Thanks,
