You've checked that the folder chooser is pointing at the correct folder, I assume?
If you have certain projects which are causing the project chooser to fail to load, it would be useful if you could send the project files to michelle.taylor@red-gate.com, along with a brief description of what they're meant to be doing. Information on the localisation (language, date format etc) of your computer might also be helpful in tracking down the problem - we've had some issues with date formats in the past, although we believed we'd fixed them all.
