Hi Tony,

My name is Brian Donahue and I am a support engineer with Red Gate
Software. A lot of the time, these 'Automation Errors' are caused by COM
objects that need to be re-registered with Windows. I'd suggest registering
all of the Red Gate .dlls and also the SQL DMO .dll.

To do this, open a command prompt and type 'REGSRV32 sqldmo.dll'.
Do the same for all of the .dll files in the red-gate.compare bundle folder.
Don't forget to include the full path to the files, in quotes if spaces are
involved.

I hope this solves your problem.

Regards,

Brian Donahue

FYI -- this information applies to version 2.03 and earlier, which are COM-based. Version 3.0 and up, which are based on Microsoft .NET technology, do not require any COM dll registration.
