Hi,
Is it possible to transfer, or otherwise make available, a template for a backup job between different SQL Servers and SQL Server instances?
I have created several job templates on Server1\SQLInstance1 and and a couple of them are relevant to SQLServer2\SQLInstance2 but I cannot see a method to make them available to speed up the job creation process...
TIA
Jonathan

Thank you for your forum post.
SQL Backup templates are stored in the following registry key :
HKLM\SOFWARE\Red Gate\SQL Backup\BackupSettings\<instance name>
These registry entries can be transferred to work on other instances/servers.
I hope this helps.

Maybe this process is a potential development for the next version? Using the SQL Backup GUI would have been a lot easier as i can see all my servers from there...
cheers
