All UPDATE data unavilable

edited August 12, 2008 2:00PM in SQL Log Rescue
Hi Guys,

I hope you can help me, we recently had a case where the values in a table were updated incorrectly, we want to use the SQL Log Rescue tool to analyse the statement that was executed and try and determine who executed the statement. I have setup the software to point at a log shipped copy of the db and I have included the log backup for the times the updates happened. All insert and delete (new and old values) data is available but nearly all update statements show an ‘unavailable’ message listed in the new and old values… Is this a common problem or am missing something important… You help would be most appreciated.

Many Thanks

Gethyn

Thank you for the post into the forum and sorry for the delay in replying.

If Log Rescue is unable to retrieve a value, SQL Log Rescue displays unavailable. This may occur, for example, if the selected log entry shows a row update, but there is no information about the row insertion within the live transaction log, the transaction log backups, or the included database backups.

    Many Thanks
