I've just tried out 1.1. Very much improved, and is pretty handy. Nice for Ad-hoc work but I'd really need...

. compatible Command-line version

. Macros (SQLCMD- compatible -ssms subset would be nice)

. Save in tab-delimited form

Those are the essentials but it would also be nice to have a ready-made library of obvious routines such as adding/removing users, getting lists of logis and users, getting backup history and so on.
This would allow poor souls without a great deal of expertise to take on admin jobs, and would also allow emergency use by untrained staff who happen to be on-call.

I'd also quite like a save of results to a table as well as to a file. Novel, I admit, but pretty useful.

  • I request SQLCMD compatibility also. I think this would be a worthwhile upgrade as more and more people use Visual Studio Database version. I can speak for about 5 others in my IT dept as well.
