Hi guys,
We are running a polyserve matrix cluster in conjunction with sql server 2000 and 2005.
Is there any way when setting up SQL server instances in SQL Backup Pro to manually define a list of servers that are members of the cluster so that registry keys etc will be propagated to each node of the cluster when amended via the UI.
I installed everything on the first node and exported / imported the reg keys and installed those on each node of the cluster. We then made each node active and then reinstalled the server components etc.
Everything worked but it was a tremendous amount of work and it will now be a very manual process to deploy changes etc across the cluster and ensure the registry etc stays in sync.
Managing 90+ instances in this manner is less than desirable.
Any help that can be offered or slight amendments to allow a user to specify the nodes manually would help us greatly.
