It would be useful if, when setting up log shipping, you could specify the target locations of each file, rather than just "data" and "logs". If you are setting up to replicate a production environment, you would probably want to do this. We have data, indexes and logs each on separate disk arrays to improve performance but the SQL Backup Log Shipping Wizard forces us to put data and indexes onto the same drive (unless I'm missing something).
I appreciate that we can move them after setting up log shipping, but both data and indexes are in excess of 100Gb and take about an hour to put on disk (and therefore to copy to another disk).
Could this be considered as an enhancement?
