Getting VDI error 1010 intermittently

Every so often we are getting:

VDI error 1010: Failed to get configuration from server. Check that the SQL Server instance is running, and that you have the SQL Server Systems Administrator server role. Error code: (-2139684861: The api was waiting and the timeout interval had elapsed.)

Most of the time the backups run fine, also some servers seem to be more prone to the error than others. I have seen this error being reported by other sites, but have not seen a universal fix.

We are using SQL Backup v.5.0.0.2770

Hmmm... as I created various jobs from the same script, I was also duplicating the scheduled start time down to the second. I have adjusted the scheduled start times and will see what happens.....
