Tray application for Query Analyzer

I haven't install the SQL Server 2000 tools because these tools are not needed. We are using SQL Server 2005 tools.

Why is the tray application enabling SQL Prompt in Query Analyzer installed in the Startup program group? I think it makes no sense if the query analyzer is not installed on the system.

I suggest to chance this feature in a future release.

Thanks, Olaf

  • I certainly agree the installation of tray app does not serve any purpose when Query Analyser is not present. We would try to resolve this in our future release.
Meanwhile, if you would like to remove the tray app.exe from your system, right click on the tray app.exe - exit, and then delete it from the Startup folder on your Start menu.

    Thanks,
