Hi
A simple question, hopefully with a simple answer!
Can a SQL2000 32 bit Redgate backup file be restored on to a sql2005 64 bit server?
There are only 10 types of people, those who get binary jokes and those who dont.

    Hi,

Yes, SQL Backup can be installed on the 64-bit edition of SQL Server 2005. This will require a 'professional edition' licence, however. Alternatively, you can run SQB2MTF to convert the file to Microsoft Tape Format and restore the file.

We have a GUI version of SQB2MTF now that should make the procedure a bit easier!
