Are there other snippet key words like $CURSOR$? I think it would be useful to have a few others such as $DATE$ which would insert the current date. Maybe $USER$ as well . . . just a thought.

    Hi James,

Thanks for posting. That's something we're considering for a future release. In an ideal world we'd implement a kind of live template type functionality that would allow you to insert user-defined placeholders as well. It'll probably make it in at some point in the future, although I can't see it happening before SQL Prompt 4.

    Thanks,
    Bart

Will the 4.0 implement those features? dose it include $DATE$ ?
  • Hi,

We are currently planning tasks for v4.0. However, it is on a pretty much primitive phase and I can't really say much at this point of time. I will keep you posted once we get some decisions done:)

    Thanks,
    Tanya

Could you include the ability to select a snippet file from a network location? We'd utilize this feature to share snippets across our team. It is especially useful for things that need to stay identical such as stored procedure templates that will end up creating a new proc stored in source control.

    thanks
