Controlling the profiler programmatically

Hi David,
This can't be done with the present version of the Profiler,
unfortuantely. I've been told it would be a bit difficult to implement as it
would involve exposing the API (and documneting it -- let's not forget
that!), so it probably won't happen in the short-term.
Of course, all features in the software are driven by demand, so if it's
something that's really, really important to our customers, there's a better
chance it will happen.
