Error reported on SSMS startup after installing ver 3.7.0.16

On launching SSMS, an error message appears before the "Connect to Server" prompt. The error message content is:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'RedGate.Shared.Utils, Version=9.5.0.875, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7f465a1c156d4d57' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'RedGFate.Shared.Utils, Version=9.5.0.875, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7f465a1c156d4d57' at RegDate.SIPFramework.SmartExceptionsWithAdvancedUI.UnhandledExceptionHandlerWithAdvancedUI.OnReportException(ReportExceptionEventArgs e) at SmartAssembly.SmartExceptionsCore.UnhandledExceptionHandler.#pk(Exception #gJj, Boolean# YGq, Boolean #yJrc)

To fix this problem, do the following:

1. Goto "Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features"
2. Locate and click on "SSMS Integration Pack Framework 1"
3. Right click and choose "Repair"

This should do it!

Patrick, just wanted to say thanks for finding the simplest fix for this issue and for sharing it, much appreciated.

In the version of SSC that I am using (3.0.13.4214...on Win7/SQL 2008 R2 SSMS)...right clicking on the linked-to path does not bring up the context window shown in the article referenced in this forum. The context menu that comes up only contains "Copy". The article says any version after 3.0.5 should support this. In the past this has worked fine for me. If I manually copy an old ComparisonOptions.xml to my folder...it does not seem to take affect even after restarting SSMS.
