Missing table row in Data Compare

YoungRascalYoungRascal Posts: 3
Comparing two versions of the same database (one from backup) and I noticed that table row in SSMS that I could not see in Data Compare. I clicked all the tabs in Data Compare and it did not appear in any of the data sets (All Rows, Rows only in dbA, Rows that exist in both databases but differ, Rows only in dbB, and Identical).

I am hoping that I am just not understanding how this works or there is a setting that is filtering it out (although this is a recent new install of the client, so setting should be default).

Can someone explain how I might not be seeing all the rows in a table?

Thanks.

(Edit: I am using SQL Data Compare 10.7.0.23 on Win 7 64)

  • Ok I figured it out. It's my mistake, I had the settings to "Show identical values in results" turned off. I wasn't expecting this to be turned off, but as I said, it was a recent install of the Data Compare, so I wasn't expecting this behaviour. *mea culpa*

    Thanks.
