SQL Data Compare 8.1 crash when opening

Hi,

We have a problem using SQLDataCompare 8.1. Professionnal Edition. When we try to open it, it crashes.

We are working on VMware - XP Professionnal Version 2002 SP3.

Here's the details of the error:

EventType : clr20r3 P1 : redgate.sqldatacompare.ui.exe P2 : 8.1.0.4
P3 : 4b99067d P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 5266e591 P7 : 2d6e
P8 : ee P9 : system.argumentexception

What can we do to fix this problem?

Sadly there is insufficient information for me to identify the cause of this error.

A support call has been created for you HERE.

You will need to create a RedgateID, if you do not already have one.

Can you please update the support call with a screen shot when the error occurs?

Is there any information from the Windows Event Viewer logs regarding the exception, that may help identify the cause?

Is this only VMware virtual machine that has encountered the reported problem?

Does the VMware host machine have sufficient resources to run your VMware - XP Professionnal Version 2002 SP3 virtual machine?
