It would be nice, if sql prompt was run on sql text so to normalize the sql.
for example:
we have a database with 1000's of stored procs, we bought redgate tool belt with sql prompt. Someone uses SQL format to update a 1000 line stored proc, when we use sql compare it looks way out of synch , when in reality it's just the formatting.... no real code changes.
Is there a feature in sql compare to use sql prompt to normalize the two stored procs, making a compare WAY more usefull. If not, please
make this a feature of sql compare it would be invaluable with a team using different formatting patterns.
Thanks

Thanks for your post.
You should be able to modify the comparison options to ignore whitespace and ignore comments -- this should stop your stored procedures from showing as differences.
