controlling SQL Prompt through programming

Having only briefly read some of the posts in the forums, it seems that many are dismayed specifically by the limitations placed on how sql code is formatted. Software is supposed to save time, not waste time, and if we have to constantly re-format SQL Prompt-formatted code, this is not the best use of our time.

Given the myriad ways that users of SQL Prompt like to see their code (and environment) formatted, I was wondering if RedGate has ever considered creating a programming language that would allow us to do what ever we want with the look and feel of our code and and environment.

I also work with music software called Sibelius, and they have created such a language to manipulate their product:

I can post this in the Feature Request area, but I was just wondering if Red Gate has had any discussions on this internally.

Best wishes,

Ned Otter
